Emergency cold storage is temporary refrigeration delivered to your site when your own equipment fails or you run out of space. In our case it is a 12x7' refrigerated trailer that holds anything from -5°F to 50°F+, arrives with its own generator, and plugs into nothing. It functions as a replacement walk-in cooler or freezer for as long as you need it.
How fast can you deliver emergency refrigeration?
We dispatch 24/7 from Springfield, GA. Savannah is roughly 45 minutes, Hilton Head 90 minutes, Charleston and Jacksonville about 2 hours, and the furthest markets in our service area about 2.5 hours. If you call at 10pm, we answer at 10pm.
How much does emergency cold storage cost?
Rentals start at $200 per day for the trailer, with delivery and pickup included. Generator-equipped units are available - confirm the rate for your setup when you call. Weekly and monthly rates are lower per day. Augusta during Masters week is $500/day.
Do I need a permit or a special hookup?
No. The trailer runs on its own generator, so it needs no electrical hookup and no permit in the overwhelming majority of cases. It fits in a standard parking space and requires no CDL to tow, though we deliver and place it for you.
Can you provide emergency cold storage overnight or on a weekend?
Yes. Refrigeration does not fail politely during business hours. We run 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and the majority of our emergency calls come in outside normal hours.
Do you repair walk-in coolers and freezers?
No. We are a rental company, not a refrigeration contractor. We do not perform equipment repairs. What we do is keep your product cold while your own technician fixes the problem, which is usually the part that actually costs you money.
What temperature range do the trailers hold?
-5°F to 50°F and above. You set the temperature. The same trailer works as a freezer, a cooler, or a produce-safe holding unit, and it holds temperature in the Southeast summer.
How long can I keep the trailer?
One day or several months. Most emergency rentals run three to seven days while a repair is completed. Storm and seasonal rentals often run longer. There is no minimum beyond a single day.
